Further, read my open access senior author paper titled "Conducting inclusive research in genetics for transgender, gender-diverse, and sex-diverse individuals: Case analyses and recommendations from a clinical genomics study" in the Journal of Genetic Counseling. This study evaluates cases of transgender research participants to explore recommendations for building more inclusive research studies, both broadly and in the field of genetics care provision and research.
